RE/MAX By The Bay was founded in 1995 when several of the most experienced and successful real estate agents in a number of Greater Portland agencies decided to work together. David M. Banks, the designated broker, was the catalyst for this change when he acquired the REMAX franchise.

Since opening in Portland in an office with spectacular views of Casco Bay, the company attracted over 50 top real estate agents who together have captured the number one position in sales volume for the State of Maine; a testimony to the appreciation of loyal customers who continue to refer business to RE/MAX By The Bay brokers.

At RE/MAX By The Bay our agents focus their time and energy on their customers. The office is well appointed and designed for efficiency. RE/MAX By The Bay is a leader in the use of technology to serve the public. In addition, clients have access to two loan officers from a local lender who assist buyers in determining their qualifications for and with applying for financing. There is also a personal lines insurance representative. Closings can be conducted with ease in one of our three conference rooms.
