Bio:
David specializes in residential, condominium and multi-family properties in the Greater Portland area. His clients range from first-time home buyers to seasoned investors. He splits his business roughly 50/50 between working with buyers and sellers.
David’s mantras are ‘less is more’ ‘think globally, act locally,’ and ‘less talk, more action.’ Extensive travel & work experience have made him an expert in thinking outside the box and he is constantly working to create options and solutions for his clients.
David is committed to sustainability in both natural and built environments. He has earned the National Association of Realtors (NAR) GREEN Designation. This involved attending a series of courses on energy efficiency and sustainability, which covered issues from site selection to lighting and finishes. David has also sold LEED Certified homes, including Redfern Home’s LEED Platinum ‘Redfern House'.
When he is not in the office David can be found “playing in the outdoors,” enjoying everything from windsurfing or kayaking on Casco Bay, to skiing/riding slopes of Sugarloaf. He is passionate about the outdoors. A licensed Maine guide and an International Travel Guide, David has led tours and adventure travel groups internationally; China, Turkey, South America, Central America, Mexico, North America & Hawaii. As a professional guide, David is always mindful of hazards, which might adversely affect his client’s experience. He carries this attentiveness to working with his clients as a Realtor.
David has been a landlord for over 20 years and has been buying and selling real estate in Greater Portland since 1990. He resides in Portland with his wife, Honour Mack, a professional artist, their daughter, Olivia, and faithful canine companion Arlo.
