Bio:

In September of 1986, I began my real estate career. Prior to that big jump, I had been a full time substitute teacher in the Auburn School System, primarily working with 7th and 8th grades at the Auburn Middle School. I always thought that if I could get my students to love to read, then I could do anything.

Well, with the support of my husband and children, I did just that. I entered a world that would bring me a wealth of new information, a bounty of new friends and business associates, successes, failures, and the ability to learn to regenerate from the low times to create better times.

Throughout this adventure I have grown educationally by obtaining my Broker license, and the GRI, ABR, SRES real estate designations. I am a REALTOR with membership in the Portland Board of Realtors as well as the Maine Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

My real estate career has introduced me to many areas in our great state of Maine. I started in the Auburn and Lewiston area with ERA Worden Realty. From there I joined a small company that specialized in manufactured homes and modular homes. What an education in the construction and development of projects as well as the management of Mobile Home Parks throughout Maine. The Real Estate crash of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, forced this company out of business. However, I gained a wealth of knowledge that continues to help me in today’s world.

In July of 1991, I joined Harden Realty of South Portland, Maine. Thus began my nineteen years of real estate in Cumberland and York Counties. These last nineteen years have been the most rewarding of my career. I have worked from Kennebunk to Auburn and Parsonsfield to Brunswick and many points in between. I have been fortunate to maintain a level of business that has consistently put me in the multi-million dollar bracket. I have been able to achieve this standard by standing by my belief that “My business is NOT about the MONEY, my business is about THE PEOPLE.”

I have had the pleasure to work for Harnden Realty which subsequently became affiliated with the Coldwell Banker organization, Agency 1 Real Estate, and presently I am enjoying being with RE/MAX By The Bay. In addition to my listing and selling of real estate, I am an instructor with the Art Gary School of Real Estate teaching the Associate Broker License course and other continuing education courses.

In my “spare time”, I enjoy spending valuable time with my husband, Phil. We have had 43 wonderful years together raising two children, Judy and Dave, and now really enjoying our three grandchildren, Lauren- 13, Erica- 11, and Cody James (CJ)-9. They are such a joy.
